This song begins with the lyrics from the theme for “Outlander”, which are themselves a variation of the poem, “Sing Me a Song of a Lad That is Gone”, written in 1892 by Scotsman Robert Louis Stevenson. Several verses of the original lyrics to “Skye Boat Song”, first published in "Songs of the North" by Sir Harold Boulton in 1884, are also included. These lyrics chronicle the escape of Bonnie Prince Charlie from the English after Culloden, the final pitched battle fought on Scottish soil, during the failed Jacobite Rising of 1745.

Special thanks go to our friend, renowned Scottish photographer Graham Harris Graham (www.ghgraham.com) for kindly allowing us to use his work; American Rogue Steve Lesko for editing the video; and American Rogue Nicki Nero for recording and mixing the song in his studio.

This song is dedicated to our dear friend, Chuck Bloom, and in his honour is being officially released on the day of his memorial service, August 29, 2015. We’ll never forget you, Chuck.
