FORMERLY THE AMERICAN ROGUES

THE DEVIL'S BRIGADE, formally known as the First Special Service Force, was a highly decorated Canadian/American commando unit in WWII. Their legendary heroism struck fear into the hearts of Nazis and their legacy can be traced directly to the Canadian Special Operations Regiment and Green Berets.  The American Rogues have long supported Veterans and by becoming THE DEVIL'S BRIGADE we seek to not only honour those who serve but also reflect our own Canadian/American identity.

AMERICAN ROGUES INSPIRE AUSTISTIC GIRL TO SING

This is a really nice story. You may have read on the "Fanecdotes" page of our website about a young girl named Allison who was autistic but spoke for the first time when she heard us playing on stage. After that I often brought her up to join us because it clearly made her very happy. Last night I received the following message:

"Ms. Allison recently returned from an audition for America's Got Talent. We won't know if she made it or not until sometime in the spring but we also provided a video audition. From the child stuck in autism... you gave her an avenue to talk, sing, and FLY!! There really is nothing we can do to repay the light you brought into her life. So many blessings.

Thank-you so much, Mary and Sakeeta... you just made all of us very happy.

NEW SHOWS IN EUROPE!

On the heels of our successful tour of Asia we've just learned that we'll be playing in Italy and Spain for the men and women of the U.S. Navy.

THE AMERICAN ROGUES ROCK THE TROOPS IN ASIA!

The Rogues are proud to announce they've just returned from their tour of Asia where they performed for members of the US Military and their families.  Performances included Andersen Air Force Base (Guam), US Naval Station Guam, Camp Shields (Okinawa, Japan), and US Fleet Activities Sasebo (Japan).  The response was very positive and the Navy has already started planning a European Tour for March.  Thanks again to the troops for all they do.

25,000 PEOPLE AT FLOYDFEST!

July 30 -- The Rogues had an amazing time at Floydfest in Virginia on the weekend where organizers told us there were 25,000 people in attendance. The response was overwhelmingly positive when we shared the main stage with Grammy winners Alison Krauss and Bruce Hornsby. Thanks again for all of your support!

T.A.R. ROCK WASHINGTON EMBASSY ON 4TH OF JULY

Our Independence Day show on the roof of the Canadian Embassy in Washington was a smashing success!  We met a lot of great people, got to hang out with the Canadian Ambassador, and we've already had interest in related shows.  This photo was our view from the stage with the Capitol Building in the background.  What a great day!

"ROGUES ON THE RHODE" A SUCCESS!

May 28/2011 -- Thanks to the hard work of a lot of really good people, particularly Bruce and Tonya Redekop of the Canadian Armed Forces, nearly $50,000 was raised for the wounded heroes of Ward 57 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.  Once again the American Rogues were proud to do their part.  Including our DEAKSTOCK fundraisers the American Rogues have now helped to raise $75,000 for Veterans in need.
