FORMERLY THE AMERICAN ROGUES

THE DEVIL'S BRIGADE, formally known as the First Special Service Force, was a highly decorated Canadian/American commando unit in WWII. Their legendary heroism struck fear into the hearts of Nazis and their legacy can be traced directly to the Canadian Special Operations Regiment and Green Berets.  The American Rogues have long supported Veterans and by becoming THE DEVIL'S BRIGADE we seek to not only honour those who serve but also reflect our own Canadian/American identity.

HEADLINES

WE'RE APPEARING AT DRESSED TO KILT -- AN EVENT STARTED BY SEAN CONNERY

Dressed to Kilt, the world's largest Scottish fashion show, has invited THE DEVIL'S BRIGADE to work with them. Started by Sean Connery and Geoffrey Carroll over 20 years ago the show has featured Gerard Butler, Ewan and Colin McGregor, Billy Connolly, Craig Ferguson, Mike Myers, Michael J. Fox, and many more, including Sean Connery himself. Since it's inception the show has occurred largely in NYC but on April 6, 2024 it will happen in Toronto for the first time at the Royal Ontario Museum. DTK has always raised funds for the Navy SEAL Foundation, which fits perfectly with our own work with the Navy SEAL Museum and other Veterans -- in 2024 funds raised will support Canadian Veterans. Stay tuned for more information.

T.D.B. SIGNED BY AGENCIES IN CANADA, EUROPE, AND THE U.S.

We just signed with the Dolmen Entertainment Group for representation across Canada (dolmenentertainment.com). Dolmen specializes in Celtic/Roots/World music and has an impressive roster of international artists.  Dolmen has also asked Nelson to represent them as an agent so he will not only continue booking shows for Celtic/Japanese supergroup, The Dragon & the Rising Sun, but Dolmen artists as well, including THE DEVIL'S BRIGADE and the brilliant Tokyo-based band, O’Jizo (www.ojizo.org). The American Rogues have also been asked to join the rosters at Washington, D.C.-based agency, Extraordinary Entertainment, for shows in the U.S., and Scarlett Entertainment, for shows in Europe.

BACK FROM QATAR

We had a brilliant time performing at Al Udeid Airbase in Doha, Qatar for NATO troops from the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, and more!  At the end of the show a number of them joined us onstage for some fun.  This was the 12th NATO base we've played and we can't wait to visit more!

BACK TO SCOTLAND!

We've been invited to return to Scotland to perform at two of the most prestigious Celtic events in the world -- the Crieff and Cowal Highland Gatherings. In 2019 we were the first international act to perform at Cowal's "Gig at the Gathering". Looking forward to seeing all of our friends at the Station Pub! Photo courtesy of Ken Clark.

WORLD MUSIC FESTIVAL -- 10 YEARS ON

Having been invited to perform 13 years in a row we're very pleased that our love of the World Music Festival in Sherbrooke, Quebec is stronger than ever.  We're already looking forward to returning next year.  Merci, chers amis!

ROBBIE BURNS CONCERT!

Robbie Burns -- the National Poet of Scotland and the man voted "The Greatest Scot" of all time. If you're looking to celebrate his birthday check this out: the Barra MacNeils, the American Rogues, haggis, and much more! Thanks to our good friend, Steve Tweedie, Director of the Moncton Highland Games. By the way 2021 marks our 3rd invitation to play the Moncton Highland Games! More info at www.monctonhighlandgames.com

BACK TO OTTAWA FOR NYE!

We're very pleased to announce that we will once again be working with the Scottish Society of Ottawa to help them present their New Year's Eve celebration, "HOGMAN-EH!"  In the past we have performed at Ottawa's prestigious Aberdeen Pavilion -- this year's event will be online and will include performances from a number of fantastic artists, including Canadian music legend, Colin James.  There is even going to be a special message from the Prime Minister!

NAVY SEAL MUSTER 2019

We are so humbled to have worked once again with our friends in the Navy SEAL community at their 34th annual Muster in Ft. Pierce, Florida.  In addition to performing at their Ash Swim-Out Memorial Service, on the deck of a Mk V Special Operations Craft, and at Admirals Cove Golf Club we lead a parade onto the demonstration field where we provided the music for a memorial service honouring Allied heroes on the 75th anniversary of D-Day (pictured below).

BACK TO SCOTLAND!

While headlining the Ohio Scottish Festival (where we now have a standing invitation to appear for as long as we want) we met up with our dear friends from the Crieff Highland Gathering in Scotland, which we played in 2018.  We're very honoured to announce that they have invited us to perform again at their 150th anniversary in 2020.  We can't wait to see all of our friends at the festival and at the Station Pub!
